It was Sunday morning. We had a few extra hours because there were no meetings (bless stake conference!) so we were in the kitchen making chocolate chip pancakes.
I made some comment about how I was going to ruin the pancakes and Anna said "why do you always think you're so bad at these things?"
And I was like... what the heck you're right.
Anna is everything I'm not to myself -- compassionate, positive, supportive, spontaneous, & creative.
She catches me when I'm pessimistic and flips it around.
She makes unexpectedly freezing hikes an opportunity to belt the Sound of Music and jetê across the trail.
She turns long days into sweeto burrito runs and tough situations into learning experiences.
She turns gossip into kindness and awkward group settings into hilarious bonding.
I feel most comfortable with her. Silence is comfortable, talking is comfortable, just being in the same room feels at home.
After the hike pictured, we took hot showers that probably doubled our utility bill for the month and found ourselves taking a nap on the couch under the same blanket.
If I could've paused that moment for a good week or month or forever, I would've.
Anna is my home-girl in every sense of the word.
How grateful I am for a friend who is wise enough to talk me through life, sensitive enough to listen even when I'm negative or unkind or straight-up wrong, and FUN enough to be my adventure buddy through anything and everything.
I love her.
Let's all be a little more like Anna Wilder.

And some more pictures as of late!
The Brick House single ladies :)
So grateful for these three!
Also: I don't have words for campus in the fall.
When BYU tells you you're a Senior but you have 2 1/2 years left..
I love quiet temple trips.
Said goodbye to this view because they moved our district to the 6th floor on the south side :(
My walks home from campus though.

Sundays.
"Look at each other and laugh"
*becomes blinded by the sun*
New favorite.
New mantra.
"In the midst of life's storms, do not forget your divine heritage as a son or daughter of God or your eternal destiny to one day return to live with Him, which will surpass anything the world has to offer."
I'm grateful for a multitude of tender mercies in my life -- Utah in the fall, peruvian food, the Book of Mormon, kind people at the grocery store, jamming to beyonce while doing dishes, merciful accounting professors, and friends who keep me grounded.
Life is oh so good.
