of this I know to be true

One day you're going to wake up in a college dorm room, and your life will never be the same thereafter.
Suddenly there are infinite choices to make, places to go, and people to meet.
Amidst this whirlwind of change (which I'm loving!), I have felt so grateful and blessed.
I want to testify of what I know to be true, right now, on September 7th, as a BYU student navigating freshman year:

I know that I have a loving Father in Heaven, who knows me personally.
His plan for my life is greater than my own.
I know that temples are the most holy places on earth. There is a tangible peace felt within its walls, and I consistently receive answers to my questions and direction for my life.
I know that there is power in the scriptures and the words of our living prophets.
I know that Thomas S. Monson is our living prophet today, and acts as a mouthpiece for Jesus Christ.
I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is real.
I know that prayer is central to our identity as children of God. It is our line of communication with the loving parent who created us and His Son, who is our Exemplar, Advocate, and Friend.
This week my Book of Mormon professor said: "Plan each day spiritually on your knees before you live it."
At this time in my life, I have never relied more on that counsel.
I don't have everything figured out yet, but what I do have is a personal testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
With that foundation, I cannot fall. (Helaman 5:12)
