But, seriously.
When this picture was taken (practically yesterday) I was Hermana Parks.
I enjoyed: long walks in the peruvian desert, teaching people the gospel of jesus christ, eating mountains of rice & speaking spanish like a latina.
My life consisted of planning, studying, and teaching with a companion by my side; feeling constantly exhausted but so, so happy.
Now I'm a sophomore college student sitting in my apartment in Provo, Utah looking at the ginormous icicles hanging out the window and ignoring the essay I have to write because blogging sounded more interesting.
What just happened?
All I can say is that that was the fastest year and a half of my life. I feel almost cheated. I loved it so much and witnessed so many miracles, why does it have to end????
(Normally I can look back with fondness and gratitude but today my heart just aches.)
One of these days I'll get around to uploading mission pictures but for now I'll catch up on the last month and a half.
