10 days of:
- cleaning off blue otter pop-stained lips
- entering the war zone of bath time and forced shampooing / soap
- finding the toddler sleeping face down in the living room next to a bag of tortilla chips
- forgetting to season the taco meat
- locking myself out of the house
- making eggs in the kitchen with the big kids way past their bedtime
- going to sleep last and waking up first
- packing snacks & trucks everywhere we go
- leaving the poor dog in the car on accident
- the dog retaliating by pooping in the house
- dragging a screaming toddler out of target with a million concerned / annoyed stares
- learning to be oh so patient
- & the moment on the last night when the 8 year old hugged me and the toddler said "best days ever!"
My appreciation for Jill and all mothers increased by about a million. It was so much work and I crashed every single night, but I also felt so fulfilled and so grateful for that experience.
Maybe there will be a similar post on here in about 20 years :)
